Contextual Rules¶
The conversion engine applies several post-processing rules to handle the complexities of Devanagari script.
Rule: Reph Positioning
The character { (ර්) is moved before the preceding consonant cluster.
s{→र्क
Rule: Matra Reordering
The short-i matra (l / ि) is moved after the consonant cluster it modifies.
sl→कि
Rule: M-Transformations
Special transformations for the m character:
त्रm→क्रत्तm→क्तउm→ऊभm→झपm→फ
